屋主長年旅居歐洲,回台灣後,希望把記憶中的氣質帶回家——講究比例,材質不喧嘩而自成秩序。色調以自調灰綠為主,穿插深木與亮金屬,沉著而不厚重。
The owner had lived in Europe for many years. Returning to Taiwan, the request was to bring back a remembered quality — attention to proportion, materials that form their own order. The palette is self-mixed grey-green, with dark wood and bright metal threaded through — composed without being heavy.

金屬格柵選鍍鈦與細緻拉絲,光在表面緩慢游移不刺眼。白天窗紗過濾自然光,肌理逐層顯現;夜間間接光勾勒線腳、格柵與琴身的曲線。
The metal grille is titanium-plated with fine brushing — light drifts slowly without glare. By day, sheer curtains filter natural light and textures emerge layer by layer; at night, indirect light traces molding, grille, and the piano's curves.

局部線腳與轉折採傳統手工貼金箔:先以遮蔽與打底確立邊界,再將金箔一片片貼覆於收邊與陰影交界。反射被壓低,只在邊界留下一道光。這道光不是裝飾,是工藝本身留下的痕跡。
Selected moldings use traditional hand-applied gold leaf — boundaries established by masking and priming, then leaf laid piece by piece at the junction of trim and shadow. Reflection is subdued; only a thread of light remains at the edge. Not ornament — the trace craft leaves behind.

鋼琴留在臥室裡,不是裝飾,是尺度的參照。一個有年份的物件,會讓新做的東西安靜下來——不是因為對比,而是因為它提供了一個已經存在的重心,讓空間不需要再去尋找自己的位置。
The piano stays in the bedroom — not as decoration, but as a scale reference. An object with history quiets everything new around it, not by contrast but by offering a center of gravity that already exists, so the space need not search for its own.

這個家不追求某一種風格的完成度,而是追求一種「住過很久」的自在感。新做的櫃體刻意不搶戲,讓屋主帶回來的老件和旅行記憶有足夠的位置。設計的完成,不是交屋那天,是住進去之後,屋主把自己的東西一件件放進來的時候。
This home does not pursue the completeness of any style — it pursues the ease of having lived here a long time. New cabinetry is deliberately understated, leaving room for the owner's antiques and travel memories. The design is not finished on handover day — it is finished when the owner places their belongings, one by one, inside.
